Oh my, time really flies by so fast! I didn’t realize that it’s been months since Rowena and I celebrated our birthdays together at Vikings Luxury Buffet & Browhaus x Strip at SM Megamall. Thank God for always browsing through my old albums so I was reminded to post photos from our memorable lunch and Brow+wax pamper session.
It was a very intimate gathering with some of our friends from the industry. It was our first time to have buffet together so we found out who among us was a big eater! :)) This is my third time there so I sort of memorize the layout of the place already.
Just like Vikings Buffet’s sister company, Four Seasons Hotpot City, they have almost everything that your tummy desires. For appetizer we have cold cuts, sashimi and salad. For the main course, they have all sorts of cuisines from East to West.
For dessert, my personal favorite would be their brazo de mercedes cake. I always lose track of how many pieces I eat whenever I’m there.
You can drown yourself in their wide variety of drinks there. I find myself drinking beer at 11:00 in the morning thanks to their 24-7 drink-all-you-can draft beer.
As always, I start of with a huge serving of fresh salmon sashimi. It’s my ritual before eating anything else from the buffet.
The chawan mushi (egg dish in cup) is really great. Was shocked to see that as part of their offerings because it’s a bit tideous to make. The oysters were really scrumptious too.
My Chineeez friends obviously headed to the dimsum station and hoarded these Hakaw balls.
For my main course, I had the Italian station make me some Vongole pasta. Requested it to have more flavor and clam broth. YUM!!
The highlight of our lunch was this handsome lechon stuffed with fragrant rice. We forgot our age when we took a bite from this because it was SO GOOD!!! The skin was perfectly crispy and the rice was cooked perfectly. I had a brilliant idea of sticking a candle into it so….
It ended up being our “birthday cake”. LOL!! This was served towards the end of our meal so I was afraid that no one would touch it. But there was almost nothing left in the plate after we attacked it. :))) In case you want to try out Vikings Megamall, here are their rates:

I suggest going in during their opening hours because it gets packed even on weekdays.
Even if we were too full from the buffet, we had to get our butts up to the 5th floor for our Browhaus & Strip Waxing party. The food display was sooo cute! I ended up munching on the pretzels and chips within minutes. So much for self-control. Huhu.
I had my eyebrows threaded first before meeting my friends. Really love the interior of the place. Makes me not want to leave – ever! Browhaus is the ONLY place that I’ll ever trust my eyebrows with. In fact, I had them tattooed 2 years ago so I seldom have them groomed. You can read about it HERE.
All of our friends were treated to their service of choice in both Browhaus and Strip. I was surprised that a lot of them have NEVER even tried brow threading or waxing because they’re afraid of the pain! Hello, this is the best place to go to if you have low tolerance for pain because they have the best materials and technicians.
They introduced to us their latest packaging (above) and waxing flavors. (below) They have really cute and hip designs for their entire shop. Who would have even thought of a giant condom packaging to case their IPL kit? :))
Their LEMON WAX is perfect for this summer because it whitens dark areas like underarms or the bikini area.
The CUCUMBER WAX on the other hand is made for those with dry skin because it leaves the skin moisturized after waxing.
I tried both of them and I can’t decide which I like better. Can’t they make one that lightens/ whitens and at the same time gives more moisture?! haha!
Thank you so much to Vikings, Browhaus & Strip Manila for the birthday treat. It will be hard for evil twinnie and I to top this celebration this year!
